Praise and Marvel at God’s Works

Psalm 9:1 (KJV): “I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.”

In this beautiful psalm, King David expresses his heartfelt praise and admiration for God. Let’s break down this verse:

1. Wholehearted Praise: David declares that he will praise the Lord with his entire heart. It’s not a half-hearted or casual praise; it’s a passionate and sincere acknowledgment of God’s greatness.
2. Marvelous Works: David commits to proclaiming God’s marvelous works. These are the extraordinary deeds, miracles, and interventions that God has performed in his life and throughout history. David recognizes that God’s hand is evident in every aspect of existence.
3. Our Responsibility: As Christians, we have a similar responsibility. We should share with others how God works in our lives and how He watches over His own. If we remain silent, the world may not hear about God’s goodness. Let’s be like David and brag about God—He deserves our praise and recognition.

Here’s a great reminder from Charles Spurgeon, “He who counts the stars and calls them by their names is in no danger of forgetting His children.” God has not forgotten you nor will He ever forget you.
